Frequently asked Questions...
These FAQs address many of the common questions patients have before beginning therapy. If you don’t find your question here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly here
How can I book an appointment ?
You can schedule appointments by contacting me here. We'll find a day and time that works best for you.
What are your fees ?
For information about my current fees, please contact me here.
What days/times do you have sessions ?
I generally offer appointments Monday through Friday between 9:00 and 16:00. At this time, I do not schedule sessions on weekends or evenings. To check my current availability, please contact me here.
In what languages do you offer therapy ?
I provide therapy in English and in French.
How frequently do sessions take place ?
When beginning therapy, I typically recommend meeting weekly or every other week to create consistency and build momentum in our work together.
During our first session, we’ll discuss your needs and goals and decide collaboratively on a schedule that feels right for you. This plan can always be adjusted over time as your circumstances and needs change.
If you prefer to meet less often, or if your schedule or budget makes weekly or biweekly sessions difficult, that’s absolutely fine... remember there’s no single 'right' approach. We’ll find the rhythm that works best for you.
How long are sessions ?
Individual psychotherapy sessions and online sessions are 50 minutes.
ADHD evaluations consist of three 50 minute sessions.
Expat Therapist Consultations are 50 minutes.
What is your cancellation policy ?
Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Because late cancellations prevent me from offering the time to someone else, sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full session fee, unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as a personal or family emergency or sudden illness).
Appointments may be canceled by email
What is your approach for psychotherapy ?
I see therapy as a collaborative process: you bring expertise in your own life, and I bring knowledge of therapeutic approaches. Together, we work toward goals such as reducing distress, building self-awareness, improving relationships, and finding greater meaning and authenticity. My work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the gold-standard treatment for issues like anxiety and depression, and I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Assertiveness Training, attachment-based approaches, and mindfulness. Above all, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, offering a supportive space to help you move toward your goals.

Do you accept insurance ?
I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, many private health insurers and mutuelles offer partial reimbursement for psychotherapy services, up to a certain limit. I am happy to provide a statement (facture) in either French or English that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How many sessions are usually recommended?
How many sessions you’ll need really depends on you—your goals, your challenges, and what you hope to achieve. Some people find a few sessions enough to gain insight and start making positive changes on their own, while others benefit from ongoing support as they work through more complex issues. In our first session, we’ll talk about your needs and expectations and come up with a plan together. My ultimate goal is to help you feel confident enough to continue your growth independently, like your own therapist.
What steps should I take if I’m in an emergency situation ?
If you are experiencing a medical or life-threatening emergency...including suicidal thoughts and/or ideations where you are a danger to yourself or others—please call 15 (SAMU/Ambulance) or go to the nearest emergency room right away.
If you need immediate support but your situation isn’t life-threatening, you can find helpful contacts and resources on my resources page.
You are not alone, and there are people available to help you right now.
